The Myanmar-Institut is an academic association aiming to foster networking and exchange among (primarily) German-speaking scholars who work with, in, and about Myanmar. The institut also works towards re-establishing Burmese language at a German speaking university and towards the promotion of transdisciplinary research. In cooperation with a hosting institution, the association organizes an annual conference.
